IP address is a number eg. 127.0.0.1 to specify the address of a computer on the network , Internet and intranet. The number is in 32-bit format usually consists of four osembitnimi values in decimal format. There are two types of IP addresses static and dynamic. Static IP addresses are not changing, dynamic addresses are.
Which IP standards we know?
There are two standard IP addresses known as IPv4 and IPv6. Standard IPv4 to roughly 232 = 4,294,967,296 different addresses. IPv6 is composed of 128 bits , which provides approximately 2,128 = 3.4 x 1038 different titles.
Note : Develops already IPv9 standard , which should be 256 bits. This should allow approximately 2,256 = 1.157920892 x 1077 different titles.
Who takes care of IP addresses?
For the allocation of IP addresses on a global scale and their uses controlled organization IANA , which more than 5 authorized agencies responsible for allocating IP addresses in each region. Thus, each IP address falls in a specific region for better control of the region from which comes the individual user.
